About the Author
Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa are a married couple), and therefore,
observing the prominence of the parakīya (paramour)
mode of worship among the Rūpānuga Vaiṣṇavas, he
did not study much of the Gosvāmīs’ works. However,
devotees like Śrīla Narahari Cakravartī who are impartial
and exclusively surrendered unto the lotus feet of
Lord Caitanya are most fortunate. Therefore, like him,
everyone should give up flawed logic and constantly relish
the spotless way that Śrīla Prabodhānanda followed Lord
Gaurāṅga and the sweetness of serving Śrī Vṛndāvaneśvarī
in the parakīya mode.
Śrīla Prabodhānanda’s mood is very clear, his language
is deep and the presence of the mādhurya (mellow of
conjugal love) mode is perceived at once. All Vaiṣṇavas
surrendered at Lord Caitanya’s feet attain incomparable
joy by regularly reading Prabodhānanda’s Vṛndāvana-
śatakam. Similar to it is another book called Navadvīpa-
śatakam. His poetical work Rādhā-rasa-sudhānidhi is

one who is found of ordinary poetry will not derive much
happiness, this book is very dear to the sincere devotees
who are attached to the transcendental mellows of Lord
Hari. There is an increase or diminution of excellence
proportional to the level of taste, therefore the moods
of the transcendental rasas of Vraja act over the readers
according to their virtuous merit.
One other book of his is called Viveka-śatakam, whose
description is found in Professor Aufrecht’s catalogue and
