R
Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa—Lord Kṛṣṇa and Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī worshipped
together as the transcendental Divine Couple.
Rādhārāṇī, Śrīmatī—the divine consort of Lord Kṛṣṇa and
personification of His pleasure-potency.
Raghus—the dynasty of kṣatriyas in which Lord Rāma descended.
Rajas, rajo-guṇa—passion, one of the three guṇas or modes of
material nature. See also: Guṇas.
Rākṣasas—a race of powerful evil-minded creatures.
Rākṣasa-gaṇa—humans who have lower traits in their character, as
ascertained by their horoscope.
Rāma(candra), Lord—a prominent incarnation of Lord Viṣṇu who
appeared in Tretā-yuga as the son of King Daśaratha of Kośala.
Rāmāyaṇa—a sacred narration of Lord Rāma’s exploits by the sage
Vālmīki.
Rāvaṇa—the ancient king of Rākṣasas who was killed by Lord Rāma.
Ṛṣi—a sage.
Ṛtvik—a priest.
Rūpa Gosvāmī—the foremost of the Six Gosvāmīs (direct disciples
of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu who recorded His teachings).

Sādhu—a saint or devotee.
Sādhu-saṅga—association of saintly devotees.
Samādhi—meditative trance, the highest stage of yoga.
Sampradāya—a chain of spiritual masters and disciples.
Saṁsāra—the whirlpool of material life, the cycle of repeated birth
and death.
Saṁskāra—Vedic purificatory rituals, such as marriage and last rites.
