lakṣmī-nārāyana-upāsaka e tina pūrvate
rādhā-kṛṣṇa-rase matta prabhura kṛpāte
tirumalaya, vyeṅkaṭa, prabodhānanda tine
vicāraye – prabhu vine rahiba kemane?
mo-sabara saṅge parihāsa ke karibe?
kāverī-snānete saṅge kebā lañā yābe?
cārimāsa pare prabhu hailā vidāya
tina bhāi krandana karaye ubharāya
prabhu tina bhrātāya kari’ āliṅgana
kahilā aneka-rūpa prabodha-vacana
keha kahe prabodhānandera guṇa ati
sarvatra haila khyāti yati ‘sarasvatī’
pūrṇa-brahma śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanya bhagavān
tāṁra priya, tāṁra vinā svapane nāhi āna
“Lord Gauracandra was the life and soul of these
three brothers, namely Tirumalaya, Vyeṅkaṭa and
Prabodhānanda. They were previously worshippers of
Lakṣmī-Nārāyaṇa, but by the mercy of Lord Caitanya
they became mad for the mellows of Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa. At the
imminence of the Lord’s departure, these three brothers
thought, ‘How can we remain without the Lord? Who
will cut jokes with us? Who will accompany us to bathe
in the River Kāverī?’ After four months, Lord Caitanya
bade farewell and the brothers started crying loudly. The
Lord then embraced the three brothers and spoke some
words to console them. Some say that Prabodhānanda
