Paṇḍita — a scholar, particularly of Vedic knowledge.
Pāpar — (popadum) lentil-flour wafer.
Paramparā — the chain of succession from guru to
disciple to granddisciple, and so on, through which
transcendental knowledge is conveyed.
Piṇḍa — oblations of food to forefathers.
Poṅgal — (not to be confused with the festival of the same
name) a genre of rice preparation popular in South
India, where it is standard at Hindu festivals.
Prabhupāda, Śrīla Prabhupāda — His Divine Grace A. C.
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, the founder-ācārya
of ISKCON, and the most prominent devotee of the
modern age. He departed from this world in 1977.
Prasāda, Prasādam — “mercy;” food or other items
spiritualized by being first offered to the Supreme
Lord or His topmost devotees.
Pūja — a ceremony of worship.
Pūjārī — priest engaged in Deity worship.
Purāṇa — “ancient history;” a category of Vedic scripture.
Rādhā — Lord Kṛṣṇa’s most intimate consort; the
personification of His internal spiritual potency.
Rākṣasa — man-eating demon.
Rāma — another manifestation of Kṛṣṇa.
