140 Who is Supreme?
devatäù. Karmaëä... There is a verse. Just to have immediate result
of material profit, the Vedas recommend, “All right, you worship
this demigod, that demigod.” So our concern is we don’t want any
material profit; we want Kåñëa. Therefore we do not require to
worship demigods.
Indian guest (5): But why not Viñëu?
Prabhupäda: Viñëu and Kåñëa the same. Viñëu and Kåñëa the
same. Kåñëa is viñëu-tattva.
Indian guest (5): Räma and...
Prabhupäda: Räma also. We worship Räma also. Räma, viñëu-

Indian guest (5): Because they are the incarnation of the Viñëu.
The person himself is the reincarnation of the Viñëu.
Prabhupäda: So whatever is... That is your conclusion. But Kåñëa

other connect with Kåñëa. Just like the gopés. The gopés, they liked
Kåñëa. They did not know that Kåñëa is the Supreme Lord. They
did not know. They liked Kåñëa. He was a very funny boy, young
boy, very beautiful, and these girls were attracted. They went to
Kätyäyané: “Mother Kätyäyané, please give Kåñëa as our husband.”
Their only prayer was that. They did not go to Kätyäyané for
begging: dhanaà dehi, rüpaà dehi, yaço dehi—no. “Give me Kåñëa.
Give me Kåñëa.” So there is no harm to worship the deity, I mean
