to say, other demigods. But that is not possible for anyone. That
was possible only for the gopés, because they did not know anything
except Kåñëa. Wherever they go, they want Kåñëa. But we worship
demigods not for Kåñëa—for my sense gratification. Kämais tais
tair håta-jïäna yajanty anya-devatäù [Bg. 7.20]. When we worship
any other demigods... Just like you worship Gaëeça for siddhi,
åddhi-siddhi. You will find in mercantile shop, namo gaëeçäya
namaù åddhi-siddhi kurdan mile(?). So similarly, we worship
Goddess Durgä for beautiful wife. These are prescribed in the
çästras, that “If you want this, then you worship this Deity. If you
want this, then you worship this Deity.” So different worshipers
of demigods, they are meant for satisfying the senses. But Kåñëa
is not that. You cannot satisfy your senses by worshiping Kåñëa.
That is not possible. Kåñëa is not order-supplier: “My dear Kåñëa,
please give me this. Then I shall worship You.” Kåñëa does not
accept such worship. Kåñëa said, sarva-dharmän parityajya mäm
ekaà çaraëam: [Bg. 18.66] “You first of all surrender to Me. I am
not your order-supplier.” This is Kåñëa’s worship. So those who
are not taking Kåñëa as order-supplier, those who are accepting
Kåñëa as order-carrier, he will be successful. Otherwise it will take
time. Don’t take Kåñëa as your order-carrier, order-supplier. You
become. Håñékena-håñékeça sevanaà bhaktir ucyate [Cc. Madhya
19.170]. Bhakti means when you engage your senses for satisfaction
of Kåñëa. That is bhakti. And if you take Kåñëa for satisfying your
senses, just like you worship other demigod, that is not bhakti.
That is not bhakti.

Now, Kåñëa says that kämais tais tair håta-jïänäù prapadyante anya-
devatäù: [Bg. 7.20] “Those who are worshipers of the demigods,
they are bewildered by their lusty desires.” And here Yamaräja says
