Bhagavad-gītā—a portion of the great epic Mahābhārata, and
one of the central sacred scriptures of Vaiṣṇavism.
Bhāgavata-dharma—the religious path of the Vaiṣṇavas,
devotees of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Śrī
Kṛṣṇa, or any of His incarnations.
Bhakta—a devotee of the Lord.
Bhīma—the strongest of the five Pāṇḍava brothers, the
youngest son of King Pāṇḍu and Queen Kuntī.
Bhūta—a ghost.
Birbal—Emperor Akbar’s witty courtier.
Brahmā—the demigod who is in charge of secondary creation
within each universe.
Brahma-saṁhitā—a collection of prayers to Lord Govinda
(Kṛṣṇa) composed by Lord Brahmā.
Brahmacārī—a young celibate student living under the care
of his spiritual master.
Brahman—the impersonal all-pervasive aspect of the
Absolute Truth.
Brāhmaṇa—a member of the pious intellectual class.
Brāhmaṇī—a wife of a brāhmaṇa.
Buddhi—intelligence or disposition of a particular person.
Caitanya-caritāmṛta—a biography of Lord Caitanya
composed in Bengali and Sanskrit by Śrīla Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja
Gosvāmī.
Caitanya Mahāprabhu, Lord (1486–1534)—the most recent
incarnation of Lord Kṛṣṇa, who appeared in this form as His
own devotee to spread the chanting of the holy names of the
Lord. He is the originator of the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava sampradāya.
Cakra—Lord Viṣṇu’s weapon, a disc.
