Glossary
Yoga—a Vedic path for linking oneself with the Supreme Lord in any
of His aspects.
Yogī—one who practices yoga, primarily aṣṭāṅga-yoga (mystic
yoga).
Yudhiṣṭhira, King—the eldest among the fi ve Pāṇḍava brothers,
who was crowned the king of Bhārata-varṣa after the fateful Battle
of Kurukṣetra.
Yuga—one of the four ages (Satya, Tretā, Dvāpara, Kali) in the cyclic
history of the universe. A thousand cycles of four yugas are known as
a kalpa and are equal to one day of Lord Brahmā.
Z
Zamindar—a landowner, aristocrat.
