           Gauòéya Vaiñëava—(1) a member of the Vaiñëava sampradäya originating from
                 Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu; (2) of or pertaining to that sampradäya.

           Gauòéya Vaiñëava dharma, Gauòéya Vaiñëavism—the practice and culture of
                 devotional service in pursuance of the principles given by Çré Caitanya
                 Mahäprabhu.
           Gaura, Gauracandra, Gaurahari, Gauräìga, Gaurasundara—names of Lord
                 Caitanya referring to His beautiful golden form.
           Gaura-gaëoddeça-dépikä—the book by Çré Kavi-karëapüra (written 1567 AD)
                 that reveals the identities in Kåñëa-lélä  of Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu’s
                 principal associates.
           Gaura-jayanté,  Gaura-paurëamäsé, Gaura-pürëimä—the  ävirbhäva-tithi  of Çré
                 Caitanya Mahäprabhu, the full-moon day in the month of Phälguna.
                 (Paurëamäsé, pürëimä—full-moon day)
           (Çréla) Gaura Kiçora däsa Bäbäjé—(1838–1915) the guru of Çréla Bhaktisiddhänta
                 Sarasvaté Öhäkura.
           Gaura-nägarés, Gauräìga-nägarés—a heretic Gauòéya sect.
           Gäyatré—a mantra recited within the mind by suitably initiated persons at
                 sunrise, midday, and sunset. See also Brahma-gäyatré.
           Giridhäré—a name of Kåñëa meaning “the lifter of Govardhana Hill.”
           Gétä—Bhagavad-gétä.
           Géta-govinda—a highly esoteric and transcendentally erotic poem  composed
                 by Çré Jayadeva Gosvämé (c. eleventh century) that describes intimate
                 pastimes of Rädhä and Kåñëa. Its verses and themes were repeatedly heard,
                 sung, and meditated on by Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu, and inspired the
                 composition of innumerable Gauòéya Vaiñëava kértanas.
           Gétävalé—a collection of songs by Çréla Bhaktivinoda Öhäkura.
           Godhead—See Absolute Truth.
           Godruma, Godrumadvépa—an area of Navadvépa-dhäma.  Therein Çréla
                 Bhaktivinoda Öhäkura constructed his residence and place of  bhajana
                 named Svänanda-sukhada-kuïja.

           Gokula—(1) Våndävana manifested within the material world as a facsimile of
                 Goloka; (2) in Vraja-maëòala, the particular village that was the site of
                 Kåñëa’s residence during much of His childhood.
           Goloka, Goloka Våndävana—the topmost section of the spiritual world.
           Goloka-darçana—spiritual outlook.
