Lord Viñëu and offered it to Him. How then can
they be untouchable? Everything in relationship
to Viñëu is to be considered an expansion of His
energy. Being the Supersoul, Viñëu is eternal and
uncontaminated. So why should these pots be

her child’s philosophical ability, but pragmatically

In a dream a divine being appeared to
Jagannätha Miçra and reprimanded him for
repeatedly rebuking Nimäi. Jagannätha Miçra
explained that the boy was naughty. “If your child
is already an elevated personality,” the divine
being reasoned, “then what will be the benefit in
correcting Him? Better you desist.” Jagannätha
Miçra replied, “Even if my son is Lord Näräyaëa
Himself, I am His father. It is my duty to discipline
Him and I will continue to do so.” Satisfied with
Jagannätha Miçra’s paternal resolve, the divine
being disappeared.
Once Nimäi fell down at His mother’s feet and
begged her to give Him one thing. Çacédevé replied,
“My dear son, I will give You whatever You ask.”
Nimäi requested, “My dear Mother, please do not
eat grains on Ekädaçi days.” Mother Çacé agreed:
“It is a good proposal. I shall not eat grains on
Ekädaçi.”
