          “Worship Me, and I shall give you good husbands.
          Goddesses Gaìgä and Durgä are My maidservants.
          What to speak of other demigods, even Lord Çiva
          is  My  servant.”  Nimäi  warned  the  girls  that  if
          they did not comply He would curse them to get
          old husbands who already had several wives. In
          feigned anger the girls would scold Nimäi, but
          actually they relished His teasing them.

             While  walking  by  the Gaìgä  one day,  Nimäi
          saw a young maiden named Lakñmépriyä. She
          was actually an avatar of Lakñmé. As Lakñmé
          is the eternal consort of Kåñëa, her expansion
          Lakñmépriyä is the eternal consort of Lord
          Caitanya, who  is  directly Kåñëa.  Upon  seeing
          each other, the eternal affection between Lord
          Caitanya and Lakñmépriyä reawakened. She had
          brought garlands, sweets, and other paraphernalia
          for worshiping Lord Viñëu, but upon seeing Nimäi
          she immediately offered them to Him.
             One day Çacédevé found Nimäi atop a heap of
          discarded clay cooking pots and admonished Him
          for sitting in a contaminated place. Nimäi retorted
          with a complex explanation of the nature of purity
          and impurity: “Mother, that this is pure and that is
          impure is surely a worldly sentiment with no basis
          in fact. In these  pots  you have cooked food for
