Thank you very much for your letter and the excellent news
that you have taken up devotional service full-time. When
I came to Dublin in 1994 I encouraged a young American
traveler to join up, which he did, becoming a Bhakta Randy
(now in Belfast). And now you have joined. So it makes me
feel like my visits to Ireland are worthwhile.
Another point is that quite likely a lot more people can join
up, if we positively encourage them to do so. Probably Dublin
is one of the best cities in the world for making devotees. Lots
of young people, most of them open to alternatives; plus
our movement is popular. Maybe you could try to preach to
people to take up Krsna consciousness. Try to make devotees.
Not everyone can take it up right away. But at least try to
bring people in. That is very pleasing service to Krsna.
Advice on reading: do it regularly even if you feel little taste,
at least one hour a day. Gradually taste and understanding will
come. This is very important and cannot be taken as optional.

Thank you for your letter. It’s all positive. That’s good, Krsna
consciousness means all hopeful and confident.
