Enclosed please find 3 new books published by BBt. “Endless
Love” and “Krsna Consciousness and Christianity” are reprints
of books printed in America which I thought could be valuable
for our preaching here. “The Hare Krsna Challenge” is a book
which I compiled and is printed in this format for the first time
in the world.
Regarding Sri Ramajanmabhumi—we are all wondering what
Srila Prabhupada’s response would have been; though it is
interesting to note that, despite being personally sent by Krsna
to spread bhakti throughout the world, he always emphasized
the spreading of the chanting of the Holy Names and decried
all types of sectarian bodily identification (such as that between
Hindus and Muslims) as animal-like ignorance and never talked
about re-establishing Ramajanmabhumi. In fact, he said that our
ISKCON temple at Mayapur was more important than that at the
birth site of Lord Caitanya because it was much more involved in
activities of Lord Caitanya; the karma of the Lord, in this case,
preaching Krsna consciousness being more important than the
janma (cf. Gita 4.9).
Notwithstanding, the agitation has got many people all over the
world talking and thinking of Rama and Ayodhya and chanting
the holy names. From a sociopolitical point of view (which
actually we have nothing directly to do with) it was long overdue
for Hindus to wake up lest they were lost to Islam, Christianity,
atheism and gross materialism. Actually, the present wave of
