On Speaking Strongly in Çréla Prabhupäda’s Service is a very
thoughtful book that covers this whole subject matter thoroughly,
including a balanced approach that considers both “soft” and
“hard” preaching to have their pros and cons, and acknowledges
that strong preaching requires care, discretion, and tact. While
the overall theme of the book is that devotees should preach
without compromise, arguments are also made that we should try
to introduce harinäma-saìkértana and prasäda and not turn off
people by attacking their cherished notions too soon and crushing
their interest, and that strong speaking should not come from a
platform of false ego, and should be done by a devotee with actual
understanding and proper motives, and tact is needed.

In On Speaking Strongly in Çréla Prabhupäda’s Service, Bhakti
          Vikäsa Swami, well, speaks strongly!
He’s made a watertight case for being outspoken whilst engaged
in preaching the mission of Çréla Prabhupäda. He’s both presented
numerous quotes from Çréla Prabhupäda to back up his contention,
as well as thoroughly and quite bluntly advocated adopting
an outspoken approach to condemning the materialism and
          degradation of modern society.
That IS Prabhupäda’s mission, isn’t it?

Well, in due course of time, to somewhat echo Lord Kåñëa’s own
statement in the Bhagavad-gétä, sa käleneha mahatä yogo nañöaù
          parantapa, “the science was lost!”

Instead of being inspired by Prabhupäda’s boldness, a section of
his followers, it seems, want to sugar-coat preaching, in the name
          of being liberal.
