                           Real Civilization
         Civilization means to push the man forward for perfection.
         The society and economic condition, everything, should
         be so arranged that the human child is gradually pushed
         for  the  perfection  of  life:  to  go  back  home,  back  to
         Godhead. This is civilization. (Conversation, 2 August
         1976)

         Civilization means calmness, peace, prosperity. In peace
         and prosperity one should be Kṛṣṇa conscious always.

            The Glory of Traditional Indian Culture

         In India, because they are still inclined to the system
         of varṇa and āśrama, there are so many benefits for the
         Indians. I have traveled all over the world so many times.
         Because there is no varṇāśrama-dharma, how loose they
         are. (Lecture, 19 October 1972)


         India’s position is now chaos and confusion because
         we have lost this Vedic civilization, we have lost Kṛṣṇa
         consciousness, we have lost God consciousness. We are
         being directed by whims. That is the very lamentable
         condition of India. This Kṛṣṇa consciousness is India’s
