Prologue 11

Däsa, a favorite of Çyämänanda Prabhu. His pure heart was filled
with love of God and compassion for all living beings. I worship
Prasäda, Gopäla, Govinda, Rämadäsa, Mädhava, Kiçora, and
Rädhä-mohana. I worship the lotus feet of Puruñottama Däsa, Çré
Çyämänanda Däsa, Däòiyä Kåñëa Däsa, and Rädhä-vallabha Däsa.
It is impossible to count all the servants of Çyämänanda Räya.
I worship Acyuta-nandana, Jagannätha Däsa, Ananta, Çrédhara,
and Käçénätha. I worship Nélämbara, Çrékara, Kapileçvara,
Gaìgädäsa, and other associates. I worship the great soul Çré
Çyäma Gopäla, as well as Cintämaëi, Vihäré, Déna Çyäma, Räma-
Kåñëa, Çyäma Manohara, Gopénätha, Vaidyanätha, and others.
Çyämänanda had countless disciples. How many can I enumerate?
I offer obeisance to each and every one of them. I simply pray to
them all to empower me to preach the glories of Rasika. I fall at
the feet of my father, Rasamaya Däsa, and then worship my dear
mother, a chaste lady. The father and the mother along with their
five sons have all attained shelter at the lotus feet of Rasika. I
worship my uncles, Vaàçé and Mathurä Däsa, who appeared at
the beginning of Çyämänanda’s mission. I offer my loving respects
to all my gurus. I worship all their pure-hearted descendants and
relatives, both on their mother’s and their father’s side. We all
belong to the gopa dynasty, and the lotus feet of Çyämänanda are
          our life and soul.

The five brothers Gopé-jana-vallabha, Hari-caraëa Däsa, Mädhava,
Rasikänanda, and Kiçora Däsa are the sons of Rasamaya. They are
fully devoted to Rasika, the son of Acyuta. The son of Vallabha is
Rädhä-vallabha, for whom Rasikendra, the jewel among men, is
like a second mother and father. He and his family are servants of
Rasika. They are like the helpless Päëòavas, who were always in the
care of Kåñëa. They are all devotees of Lord Kåñëa. The influence
of Rasika’s lotus feet is so powerful that no misery is ever able
to touch them or their families. They did not know anything but
